How Our Managing Partners Came Together To Form Elumina Group
Before Our Paths Crossed
Jaime Benson started in engineering, but quickly found her calling in finance—blending analytical rigor with strategic insight. She rose through FP&A leadership roles at Darden and Red Robin, where she honed her skills in driving operational performance and aligning business strategy with numbers.
Megan Taylor built her foundation in media finance at Outside before diving deeper into financial strategy during her MBA. She joined DaVita’s operations finance team and rapidly advanced, helping lead finance for one of the country’s largest and most complex healthcare providers.
Paths First Crossed
In 2017, our founders met at DaVita, a Fortune 500 healthcare company, where high stakes and complex operations demanded more than just technical skill—they demanded collaboration, clarity, and fast, confident decision-making.
Together in DaVita’s FP&A function, they found alignment—not just in workstreams like process & reporting transformation, capital management and strategic planning—but in values, approach, and drive. What started as a strong working relationship laid the foundation for something much bigger.
Parallel Paths in Entrepreneurship
In 2021, both Megan and Jaime left the corporate world to pursue independent consulting:
-
Jaime founded her own firm, using modeling & analytics to help clients determine margin drivers in their business and the potential returns of investment opportunities
-
Megan partnered with startups and nonprofits, helping mission-driven organizations align financial operations with big-picture goals.
Through independent consulting, they both leaned into fulfilling work—solving tough problems, unlocking value, and delivering impact.
Paths Reconnect in Management Consulting
Our founders reunited at Health Management Associates, advising clients again—this time in consulting roles. It was clear: their shared approach, complementary strengths, and mutual trust brought out the best in their work.
They weren’t just solving problems—they were building something stronger, together.
Founding Elumina Group (2025)
That momentum led to Elumina Group—born from the belief that finance should unlock performance, not constrain it.
Today, we partner with business leaders to help them make smarter decisions, faster—by translating complexity into clarity, data into insight, and ambition into action.
